To be fair after reading about A&F and Hollister, A&F are are certainly creepy. I did never like the way A&F presented themselves. And he ownership of the pair of them is dodgy in the extreme. Let's face there are not many clothing co's that aren't. Which is one major reason why Miles shops second-hand.
But, being a second hand shopper myself I reckon they probably make a good second hand purchase it sounds like the quality will be pretty high. It is a debateable point as to how much carry through the brand has to the second hand consumer.
I would still buy Levi's due to quality and them not being too overt. As for adidas (probably my favourite brand) I now would have severe reserves.
From a brand point of view Hollister don't trigger as an aversive response as A&F - who are in your face degenerate. So, even after reading both wiki pages I would probably still be OK with Hollister and still avoid A&F.
However, this all seems a massive tangent from the substance of the piece, some may even call it an ad hominem attack.

This place being flooded with un-welcome posting is, currently, not a threat. The site frequently goes for days without a new post in any topic.

Thank god for Erwin's fascinating input and analysis of this captivating paper/thread about Miles getting old in photos, golf, girlfriends, and remaining in la-la-land state all your life and spiritual stuff. I can't wait to read Erwin's next major contribution on the topic.

This place being flooded with un-welcome posting is, currently, not a threat. The site frequently goes for days without a new post in any topic. On CTTF / Mathisian haven some people say they avoid this place because of the Bot and Spook posts. I can understand that. @archer-D Are you saying you cannot disable guest posting, or you don't want to? I understand some guest posters are fine, but too many are not IMO. Any guest poster that strikes me as even slightly confusing or unconstructive goes on my ignore list.

I don't go there it's even worse than CTTF to read, for a start.
Go on Erwin don't be scared to create your own forum if you don't like this one as it is.
I like Daniel's forum, he's open and not some forum fascist like others.

Tom (Langleyman troll), never heard of presents? He may have received the Hollister sweatshirt as a gift or liked the color, not everyone is down with the kids and know what they're at, 'cept dicks like you.

Hi Kurt Vile-man only a dick (like you?) would wear badly chosen presents, or piss-take mocking presents, such as teenage clothes for an old man or woman. I know it kind of sucks but we're all getting old guys, deal with it like real grown ups should
Keep in mind most brands are having the last laugh using us as walking ads and mobile billboards... second-hand and first-hand billboards are still billboards for the merchants. Nothing to be proud of, don't you think

I know a chap from South Beach who started a clothing company called "Pervert". He eventually sold it to his business partner so he could go on the road and live by faith, living day to day, not taking thought for his own life.

ska Is that a good thing? I know Jesus recommended the same sort of life but that was in pursuit of something higher.
