It’s similar to the 15-minute city threat. People get their hackles up and say they want their freedom to drive anywhere, any time. So, which is more free? Having to maintain a drivers license, follow traffic laws, buy insurance, find parking spaces, buy gas, and on and on, or go for a walk? Which involves less government regulation?
They set up false dichotomies to get people to demand to remain in the clutches of the Phoenicians.
