Here's a pretty good site that lists the number of people with a given surname globally and in each country. forebears.io/surnames/ [[Enter Name]] 391,000 people in the world are named Cohen (assuming it's accurate). There are almost 4.5 million Smith's. I'm surprised it's only the 130th most common name. 30.8 million are named Ali, the 13th most common name. I wonder what's the most common name. I just tried Li. It's 2nd. Lu is 19th. PS, I looked for the site in order to see how common the name Cohen is, when I saw Michael K Cohen, an Oxford researcher, named on this video about AI: www.youtube.com/watch?v=zKUA72Ka0zA

I’m surprised there are so few Cohens.

I think Wang is the most common world wide.
BTW, the three most common Jewish surnames in the USA are Cohen, Levy and Miller.

I thought I said that. I checked it out on the site and it said that's #1, with 107 million, all but 2 million in China. Did something happen to my post?
